About the Herrick Elevator:
The 1907 landmark was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.  It is a gift shop.  And a place to stay.  But it's more than these things.

Relax in shady nooks and sunny gardens.
Sleep inside a refurbished tin shed.
Visit local historic landmarks
--and come back next time as a friend.

The Herrick Elevator is peace and quiet and peace of mind . . . Bird calls in the silence of the prairie dusk . . .  Sunsets like you wouldn't believe . . . and stars on the black palette of velvet night.   It's Lewis and Clark, pheasant hunting at its finest, a local celebration we call the Herrick Squeal Meal, and the Great Sioux Nation.

It's the best of America's heartland, and we invite you to come visit and share it with us.  You'll see what we mean.

We're "Made in South Dakota". In fact, our T-Shirts are designed and printed right here in Herrick and we feature many products locally created.   Of course we still carry PGTips (the best selling tea in England) and lots of teapots.   Call ahead if you'd like to stop by in person.
